Test Automation Engineer (Python) (Safety)
Here at QUADIGI we provide software development and testing services for safety and medical devices. In particular we specialize in application and embedded software development for lung ventilation, anesthesia, breathalyzers, gas detectors and other similar devices used by emergency services as well as industrial workers all over the world.
Project
In this project, you will join an international team developing a gas detector for toxic and explosive gases. These gas detection solutions are designed to detect, measure, monitor, and respond to the presence of gases in real time - helping to protect the lives of industrial workers and safeguard the environment.
Work
The role focuses on test automation, specifically in the area of system testing. Your responsibilities will include based on existing test specifications implement, verify and maintain necessary technical basics and automated test cases, as well as:
- Ensure proper test case execution reporting
- Analyze failures of code, test rigs and devices under test
- Assess test case results
- Document and communicate defects to the development teams
- Create maintainable test automation architectures using established test design methods
- Review and improve system test designs and documentation from a testing perspective
We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer with experience in test automation and the following qualifications:
- Proficiency in test automation, particularly in system testing
- Strong Python programming skills, with several years of professional experience
- Basic knowledge of Git version control systems
- Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Pytest (preferred)
- Experience with device testing, embedded systems, or electronics is a plus
- Knowledge of manual testing techniques and proficiency in other programming languages is a plus
- Understanding of common build systems and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins) is a plus
- ISTQB foundation level is a plus
- Strong command of English, with excellent communication and collaboration skills
