We are seeking an experienced and motivated Software Project Lead to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software development for medical products (mainly embedded devices). The ideal candidate will combine strong understanding of software development lifecycle with excellent leadership and communication skills to guide cross-functional teams and ensure software is delivered on time, within scope, aligned with business objectives, and software documentation is in order.
Responsibilities
- Lead software development from initiation to delivery.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Define software release scope, timelines, deliverables, and required process documentation.
- Monitor progress and proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
- If required, facilitate agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Ensure software quality standards and documentation, following medical products development process.
- Communicate status, updates, and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
- If required, support development through mentoring, coaching, and performance guidance.
- Collaborate with product owners and business teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
- If required, support analysis of customers complaints.
- Drive continuous improvement in project management processes and delivery practices.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in software development and project leadership.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Previous software development experience would be a plus.
- Experience with regulatory standards for software-based medical devices (IEC 62304 or ISO 13485) is a strong plus.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum project management frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing distributed or remote teams.
